Hello everyone!! This week was super cool! I would like to share a super cool experience that my companion and I were able to have!! On Saturday my comp an I were walking in this street and we went to visit his converts but they weren't home. So we just said, well we will come back later. So we started walking and like two houses down the street this guy like started speaking loudly from the other side of the street. He was also walking in the same direction. He was saying "Hey what are you guys doing visiting our neighbors!" It sounded like he wanted to bible bash or something... so we were like uhhhh well, we are missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We didn't know what to say cause it was a weird situation. So we said what we do as missionaries and that his neighbors are members of the church. Then he said something like oh, well my daughter has been asking why you guys are visiting them and wants you guys to teach her. At that point, we were even more confused! It's super super rare when someone contacts you! So, we were like yeah of course! Where do you live? He said right there. The house was like right there. We asked if we could share a message with you and your family and he said no he had to go buy some stuff, but he went and called his daughter. She's about 21. So we talked with her and taught her the restoration of the church. She was super interested!! We invited her to church and she said she would love to go! But wasn't sure about her plans. It was a Saturday. So we said well, let's come by tomorrow morning to see if you can come to church and she said okay. So we left her to say a prayer to ask if Joseph Smith was a prophet and if the Book of Mormon is true. We also left her a Book of Mormon. The next day we went to see if she could go to church. She said yes and was going to bring her sister!! They went and absolutely loved the church! It was so crazy! So this morning we went to go and see what they thought and how they felt, and I'll tell you guys that she really is chosen! She prayed the first night and asked God and Sunday night also. She said the first time she got so happy and cried a little bit! Then she prayed Sunday also and felt the same! She said she believes the church is true! So we invited her to be baptized and she was kind of scared and stuff and didn't know what to say because we were all so happy and it was weird. But she accepted! We also never left anything for her to read in the Book of Mormon, but we asked if should could read a little bit of it. She said "yeah I read the Testimonies of the 3 and 8 Witnesses and also the testimony of Joseph Smith and also the first two chapters in 1 Nephi!" It was the weirdest experience because that never happens. She's super interested and really wants to learn more! We left that lesson super happy! This story isn't told as well as it could be, but it was really one of the most special experiences of teaching I've had in the mission I think! At the end we asked her to say the prayer to end and she said yeah, but is their anything you want me to ask for you? Thats what you guys always ask me." We were shocked cause no one has ever asked us that before! We didn't know what to say. It was a great day.
Alright, well love you all and hope you guys really have an awesome week! Bye!
Sorry, but I haven't taken pictures this week... next week I'll send some pics!
