Letter From Jackson

Hey everyone! This week has been pretty good! We just have been running around a lot in all places. Also, a convert of my compaƱion from about a year and a half ago went to the temple on Saturday to be endowed. So I had the opportunity to be able to go through with them. It was such a spiritual experience! The temple truly is the House of the Lord! It's crazy the revelations and the understanding we can receive when we are worthy and ready to receive them! Just remember that going to the temple is a blessing and is something necessary to do in our lives. It will strengthen us and keep us going on the right path. Also, here are some fotos from when we took a convert and an investigator to the temple the other week. I just couldn't send pics then, but now I can. Hope everyone has an amazing week and serves their neighbors! Bye!

Oh yeah, I forgot to share that my comp and I were walking down the street and we heard someone yelling our names, so we looked back and I saw an old companion of mine from when I was in Manta. I was his last comp when he ended the mission and went home. So yeah,  he came back and was visiting converts. It was super cool to see him again! Very unexpected!

Tons of things happened this past week!! We had a baptism! and went to visit the temple with our 2 converts! So this week has just been super busy and all over the place! I really like having a Latino compaƱion because I can really practice my Spanish more! There's no Gringos in the zone and it is only Spanish! I love it! But for the baptism we went to fill up the font and just the yellowest green water came out. So we drained it and filled it up again and yeah still yellow green water. So yeah, she got baptized in dirty water! We threw a whole bunch of bleach in the water before to see if it would help but it did nothing. It went really well and she seemed super happy!! Her name is Johanna Jenniffer Cordova Torrez. But on jueves we went to the temple with her and our convert Andres who got baptized the week before! It was so cool and we could feel the Spirit super strong and feel so much peace! They want to go in this next week, so we are going to get permission to go inside with them! The miracles and blessings really makes one happy! I hope everyone has an awesome week and really looks for the blessings you receive daily! It will bring you joy!

Bye!

Hello everybody!!!!

This past week has been crazy! Last Monday night I had emergency transfers. I left my son in Portoviejo and now I'm back in Guayaquil! Now I'm a zone leader and my comp is my trainer when I first got here in the mission. How weird is that? Now we are comps again and he's helping me get the hang of the ropes in this new assignment. I love it though! It's so much work! Keeps me pretty focused now ha, but I'm feeling excited to see what comes ahead.

On Saturday, we had a baptism! It was super cool and he's amazing! His name is Andres Riascos. He's from Columbia, but now living here. This missionary before who left, came back because Andres wanted him to baptize him. It was a super cool expirience!

That's pretty much all that has happened this week other than going to all the sectors helping out other missionaries and doing a bunch of stuff.  Oh yeah, my mom wanted me to tell you guys what my favorite food is here. It's called Ceviche de camaron. It's super good! Also Guatita. That is cow stomach with a sauce all over it was a ton of rice. No no, just kidding, that one isn't my favorite, but I do like it. I love patacones! That's so delicious! But all the food here is super different and super good too. I'll miss the food here after.  Anyway, I love you all and hope everyone is reading the scriptures and praying everyday! If not,... well you can start now. Bye!

Letter from Jackson

Hey guys! This week has been going pretty good! Our investigators have been learning pretty well.  At times a little slow, but what the main focus is that they find this conversion to the Lord.  The couple that have a baptismal date for the 15th was a little iffy, but this past Sunday at church, they seemed really happy and smiled a ton! At the end of church the sister who brought them and all made the date more sure. Throughout the church they learned a lot about the temple and how amazing it is. So, the sister said "Hey, you need to get baptized on the fifteenth so that you can go to the temple with the ward." and she was like yeah your right! I know that if you're just real direct with these things it will make the people understand. I don't know if this story is a little confusing, but oh well. I kinda got lost while writing it because writing inglish is harder now. Anyway, I know that these things are true without a doubt!! Live it and Love it!! Bye!

The chickens and ducks live in front of our house.

The other two missionaries are in my district. I interviewed a couple that got married so that they could get baptized and then invited us to their party. I don't know why I don't have a foto with the couple too.
