BAPTISM!

This week was really hectic!  It was a lot of work to be able to get everything figured out for the baptism of an amazing man whose name is Ricardo Estrella.  He has truly been converted unto the Lord and every time we pass by to visit him I can see that his testimony has really grown as he has been reading the scriptures.  It was such a great experience to be here to teach and watch him spiritually grow.  It has really strengthened my testimony.

Well today we played volleyball as a zone, but first we took pics with our zone leaders because they go home this next Monday!  It's funny cause we live with them so there's all these great jokes we make to make them trunky!  They are some really great missionaries and will be missed.  The smaller one is named Elder Pihl and I have known him basically since day one because he was in the mission office and would always talk with me cause I never understood anything. They are some really good examples for me!  But it's good to know that missions really do end.  Anyway, love you all and hope you all have an awesome week!!! Bye!

I'll have to send the pics next week because this computer doesn't have a place to put in my camera things.

1 YEAR OUT!

Well time just flies by so fast.  It feels just like yesterday when I got here.  It's super weird and I don't know how to feel like I'm halfway done.  But all I can do though is just get back to work! This week went by really fast also and went good. We are working a lot on finding more people to teach and helping resent converts and strengthening members. It's really amazing to be able to see the change that this gospel brings to the lives of others.  It really is something to think about. Especially when you can see it in the lives of others and the different ways that it happens. I love this work so much and will never deny the things which I have come to know.
I hope everyone has an awesome week and loves others as Jesus loves you!!

There is a cool picture that was put on a wall which is supposed to represent Guayaquil I guess.  Well that's just what it says.

Lucky Charms!

This week went by really well! We've been working a lot harder on helping the people we are teaching on going to church and we had 3 new people that could go to church this past Sunday!!  I was so happy when they walked in!  Now they want to get married and after can be baptize!  Now we have to help them a lot to be able to get all that stuff figured out to make it all happen!  Last week I bought Lucky Charms and they were so amazing!  It had been a year since the last time that I have tasted such goodness in my mouth!  I'll send a pic because I loved it so much.  But, I hope all is going well for you guys this past week and that you all will have a fantastic up coming week!  Love you guys so much and always remember to study the scriptures and search them and keep trying to develop those Christ like attributes!

Letter From Jackson!

This week passed by fast!  Not a whole lot has been happening, but we did have a multi-zone conference the Wednesday last week. There's been like obedience problems and stuff in the mission and the mission president and his wife basically just went down on that and it was something to experience.  A lot of it was how the latinos need to be studying inglish and that they're not doing that. They said something that really made me think. They talked a lot about how important it was to be exactly obedient. That's our motto in the mission. The president talked about how important it was to keep every commandment and standard and that if we don't, then we don't love God.  It was really straight forward and direct and awesome and helped me to be way more obedient with exactness.  I love these things so much, and I love the Lord so much.  I can see the blessing in my life.  The least thing I can do and all people is be exactly obedient. If not, do we love God?

Anyways, I love you guys so much and really hope you guys are happy! Because thats what He wants for us.  Love you guys, bye!

The Book of Mormon is a Perfect Missionary!

We have an investigator that's super amazing!!  One day we were walking up a steep flight of stairs and I had a feeling that I should knock on this door... so I did.  This guy was in his house just chilling, smoking, and fixing a radio.  We were like hey, how's it going!  He didn't really want to tend to us at that moment, but was hesitant and a little later invited us in.  This was like 3 weeks ago. So we talked with him and shared who we are and what our job is as missionaries. He liked it and said we can come back again. The next time we gave him a Book of Mormon and ever since then it has changed his life! He's really happy and it has given him so much hope in his life and he just doesn't want to put it down. Oh yeah, he also doesn't have a leg, but he was able to go to church on Sunday and he loved that as well. He keeps saying that now he has really found the truth of Christ. Ever since he started reading the Book of Mormon, he quit smoking because he said he feels like he's sinning.  It was super cool to see that the Book of Mormon is a perfect missionary.  It truly blesses and changes lives. I have definitely seen that in my life as well and know that everyone who truly reads it will also see that.   Just always know to read the Book of Mormon and you will be blessed and joyful! I hope all of you guys have an amazing week!!

Bye!
